Corporate Social Responsibility
Transparency, sustainability, concern for the environment, equal opportunities, quality of life, integration and hospitality are just some of the concepts underlying Corporate Social Responsibility and, coincidentally, they are also among the founding values of Sweden.
For Sweden these represent the guidelines to be followed in daily life, in the organisation of society, in human relations and in the choices that each individual has to make on a daily basis. Organizations and companies must also act in the same way. Something which was initially just a trend, is now the unavoidable demand of the markets: companies are called upon to improve and set a good example with their actions and products. Swedish companies already have these values in their DNA and have been including CSR projects and activities in their growth plans for many years.
Best practice is one of many widely used English expressions which can be interpreted as CSR “good or best practices and actions” implemented by companies.
These are the projects that companies have developed and carried out in parallel with the production and sale of their products, they are the winning results of non-profit activities that have as their sole objective the improvement of life and the communities in which they operate.
These projects are the added value of companies, which set them apart as first-class beyond the quality of what they create and sell.
The Assosvezia CSR Award was set up in 2018 as a result of the determination and wishes of the Assosvezia Council with the support of Swedish Institutions in Italy. We believe that CSR activities are of primary importance for the development and growth of modern companies, so that they are not only focused on the environment in which they operate, but also feel the responsibility to preserve it and, where possible, make it better.
That is why it is important to give recognition to those who work, day after day, so that these positive objectives can be put into practice. We want to reward those who choose to invest in CSR, which is not a matter of money, but rather of commitment.
